For Vehicles 5-to-7 Years Old, Honda Garners 5 of Top 9, Toyota - 4 of Top 9, and General Motors - 19 of Bottom 38
Models by Honda Motor Company account for five of the nine highest Reliability Percentranks for vehicles between the ages of five years and seven years. Toyota Motor Corporation models account for the remaining four of the top nine.
The Reliability Percentranks are based on information appearing within Consumer Reports 2005 and 2004 reliability tables that pertains to model year 1998.
The following table lists the top nine models, together with their respective Reliability Percentranks.
The Best of 1998: Models with a Reliability Percentrank of .93 or More at Vehicular Age of 5-to-7 Years Model Reliability Percentrank Toyota's Lexus LS400 sedan 1.00 Toyota's Lexus ES300 sedan .99 Toyota 4Runner V6 sport utility vehicle .97 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck .97 Honda's Acura TL .97 Honda CR-V sport utility vehicle .97 Honda Odyssey minivan .96 Honda Civic .94 Honda Prelude .94 The top four models of 1998 - the Lexus LS400, the Lexus ES300, the 4Runner SUV, and the Tacoma pickup truck - are also among the Best of 1997, as are the Honda Odyssey minivan and the Honda CR-V SUV. At the opposite end of the spectrum, General Motors Corporation's models account for 19 of the 38 lowest 1998 Reliability Percentranks for 5-to-7 year old vehicles. The following table lists the models with the thirty-eight lowest Reliability Percentranks.
