GM's CEO Entertains Shareholders: Dubious Analysis, Satire, or Just Plain Snow Job?

General Motor Corporation's Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairman Rick Wagoner told the company's shareholders, "We know that you can't turn around, or be successful in our business, without great cars and trucks."
More likely is that a GM quality worse than mediocre, but some better than what people would commonly call junk, combined with an inoffensive exterior design, is sufficient for GM to sell vehicles to the bottom half of the U.S. population and more than sufficient to keep GM afloat. The dilemma is likely that GM's predilection for the bottom end of the quality spectrum, important for rotation, shows up in its products' skin-deep design.
The CEO addressed GM's shareholders at the company's annual shareholder meeting in Wilmington, Delaware.
